So many people speak chinese. If you know a little simple chinese , it is good for you. And knowing chinese can save a lot of time in business. so you don't need someone to translate for you. If you can speak or listen, can get information directly.
Second, customs are important in china. For breakfast, people usually eat porridge with buns, not rice, because porridge is good for digestion. And the chinese people like tea. Tea is very popular in china. In the United states X-mas is the biggest festival, but in china, new year's day is the biggest festival, the day all families get together to eat and play. The special food is dumplings. So I want foreign people to enjoy our customs.
Finally, manners are also important in china. For example: it is polite to arrive at a meeting being on time. If you are late, other people can't trust you again. And in china, respecting old people is important. Tipping is not common in china, so people feel uncomfortable to take tips.
